anat0l - assume all or nothing siutation but nothing to stop you from making multiple bookings, then cancelling those you dont need.

I was fortunate to find our about this deal. I'd just dropped around to see an AFF'er and his wife to drop something off.

He knew I need to head back to MEL, so he rang me on my mobile as I was driving home.

He booked it for me as I sat in a carpark dictating my VAFF & CC details. Obviously I trust him implicitly.

Got the ding in my ear of the incoming email before I'd hung up. $409 return to MEL in J, thank you very much to the AFF'er & Virgin.

Now that is Community spirit for you!

Would have been nice to send a V-Mail letting people know that Happy Hour was for Business - I found out at 5:57pm - grr!

Normally it's a whole lot of flights I don't want to take (ABX anyone? or midweek SYD-MEL)

Treating myself in late Nov for my birthday with robdjnr#2. Yay.

I couldn't find any option for seat allocation during the booking process. Did I miss something?

Before booking, signed robdjnr#2 to Velocity and tried to Family Pool to my account (I'm paying) but got message saying that Pooling rules have already been met. My understanding was that you could have 2 members 18 or over all at the same address pooling to 1 account.

Can someone please clarify?

Don't think it's really QF's cream - their cream is corporate travel and this quick fire sale is hardly targeted to hit them.... If anything this may piss Virgin corporate travellers off a bit who don't really watch the Virgin happy hour! Not the right mechanic by any stretch to reach them.... I'm not sure who Virgin is really trying to target with this to be honest!

Sounds like they desperately need to fill their J cabin with whoever whenever. I'm sure they've pulled in a few bucks

Well, they got me!

Unfortunately, I appear to be one of those who find it difficult to go back towards the fat end, the further I get towards the pointy bit of an aircraft. Ergo, will likely do this again.

A cynical person might suggest that the annual report needs some sweetening. Easier to say things were bad if you can point to a better future (without mentioning revenue per seat...).

Seriously, 75% discount (BNE-MEL), cheaper than basic saver (SYD-AYQ) on 5 months of inventory. Things are bad.

I think it's quite clever, but then again I think JB is quite clever.

Give the masses a taste and I if 1/10 convert you've made your money.
