We have some award flights booked next year including SIN-FRA and return. On the recommendation of Seatguru, I think, we reserved seats 16A and 16B on QF5 and QF6 but want other input.

Thanks

16 A & B and 16 H & K are the best J class seats on a QF 747 as an exit row they are often block out until day of departure, when I started to fly international regularly I used to get to MEL early to get either A or K when flying to LAX or LHR, however when I reached plat member status I seemed to get these seats on request by ph well before departure date, hope that you get your request

16H may get in the way of the service trollies ;). I walk recommend considering 16J instead :P

There are lots of threads discussing the virtues of row 16 on QF 744 aircraft. Many people agree with you and many others would suggest that there are better options downstairs. What is "best" is a matter of personal opinion.

Yes, I agree row 16 is the best choice for the upper deck. But personally I prefer the lower deck for a whole lot of reasons that have been well published before. If you like the upper deck (and many people do) then seek out row 16.

Meh! You can have you're upper deck, leaving 3E/F or 4E/F (depending on the configuration) for me.

In reality, exit seating is not that important to me when in a Skybed - the ability to easily get in or out of my seat without climbing over (or being climbed over if my seat mate is on the go) is more important.

While this can be done with exit skybeds, when in bed mode one basically has to crawl on hands and knees to the very end of the bed to do so.
