Cafe breakfast is gone

Heck even McD's could be contracted ... now there is a thought ... what about McD's muffins (sausgae & egg, bacon & egg) for breakfast + hash-brown on short hop flights. Tell me you don't want one now

I really could not think of anything more disgusting to be served on a flight!!!

Hopefully QF does not listen to your idea.

Looking at the menu (the supper SIN-Australia) - it gives the impression you get one choice. is that the case? Or can you order two or three supper plates to make an entree, main and dessert?

I also remember the hot English bacon & egg muffins wrapped in foil. It was around 2006-08 from my memory. And I think there was cereal, fruit and yoghurt too? Was a pretty full breakfast tray from memory. Wish QF would introduce these on international whY flights from Asia....

I agree, particularly in the premium cabins. Besides we already have hash browns in the lounge during breakfast.

One choice only! And the serves are small ...

It's the same for "supper" ex LAX to Oz ...

One would suggest to "make hay while the sun shines" in the lounge before [-]birding[/-] boarding ...

Would this be the same CX that turns on the lights in all cabins at around 2.5hrs prior to descent to perform the meal service?

Yeah...no thanks. Give me 1.5 hrs extra sleep and a cinnamon danish over that alternative any day of the week.

can you name an airline that doesn't do this?
I think you'd be challenged to get your sugary pastry from qf at t minus 1 after everything's chucked away...

that seems pretty basic - not much more than a snack service :(

There's a thread from last year, "The truth about Small Plates" or something - it describes the loss of substantial mid-flight snacks.

It's pretty ordinary for a 14 hour flight; at least the breakfast 2 hours before arrival is more substantial.

In June on QF16, Business was half occupied - I had pre-ordered the 'internet only' option; while tasty it was small, I proactively commented and was offered something else off the menu as well (seems not all wanted to eat).

'birding' - the act of flying a commercial plane oneself as the operator has cut too many costs and no longer has any pilots ;).

I came home on QF6 last month from SIN, and was told I could have any combination I wanted... 'availability permitting', of course... That said, I didn't like the sound of anything, and had eaten in the BA lounge prior (The QF SIN Lounge was full to the brim with unsavories... and I don't mean desserts!), so I ordered a drink and a pack of pretzels instead.

oh no!! I can see where this is going to end up... 'feedback from our cabin crew confirms passengers are happy with a drink and a packet of nuts after eating in the lounge prior to departure'. Cafe supper anyone?

Ha! I hope not. Next time I'll order anyway and then hide the evidence to avoid such a consequence :)

Boring I know, but a simple breakfast for the masses that always seems to be a hit. <snip>

That seems to describe a version of the J breakfast served by BA a few days ago on the JFK-LHR flight, minus the hash browns though. So, if you need a fix .....:)

Just got off qf20 and although it wasn't sold as a cafe breakfast. The menu for breakfast was a measly ham and cheese croissant or yogurt (fruit ran out at dinner service).

Flying from manila is a nightmare as is, long airport drive wih traffic. Worse lounge in history no food. And the "supper" is one plate. Followed by that breakfast service.

Can't see much has improved. Most people around were starving still!

I thought this was all fixed by now?

It has been fixed they simply added an egg dish to the Café Breakfast and that fixed it according to QF NOT
