Cafe breakfast is gone

We didn't even have that. We just got offered yogurt OR a croissant.

Maybe they just meant Changing the name to breakfast from cafe breakfast. My bad!! Haha

Are you referring to the Cafe Breakfast plus dried up baked eggs or is there a newer offering?
It's full room service breakfast on QF128. There is the card to complete with full hot options (two Western, one Chinese from memory)

It's amazing what competition from CX can do. BKK has a similar flight time to HKG, yet still gets the cafe breakfast.

Why can't QF do something like the the below for the shorter flights from Asia. If there was such an emphasis on no wastage, why not make the Full Breakfast a preorder option only?

Full Breakfast
- One tray service with an Egg Dish, Fruit side Dish and a Bakery Item (like on Domestic flights)
Continental Breakfast
- One tray service with Fruit Dish and Bakery Items
Express Breakfast
- Coffee + Pastry item

I have also attached how the egg dish looks like, and how it is served (on QF24 in late November).........

When was this? Certainly wasn't an option mid-October.

Started in December.
I had a November flight and didn't get a good breakfast, it was the baked eggs as posted in picture above.

My December flight last week I got full breakfast.
A massive improvement!
The mango 'energizer' smoothie is good, same as the one served in CX.
I think the catering is pretty much the same as CX, except CX still does it better and have more food.
It is missing muesli/yogurt and bread... but this is a selection on its own, whereas CX offers it for every choice.
CX is much quicker in serving. No silly round plates and re-plating... serve in the rectangular dish like CX will improve speed of service.

Breakfast started around 60mins from landing, but some woke up and got served 1.5hrs from landing.

Yep this is still correct... QF J service for food is big on fuss and light on food, a shame one cannot eat the menu or NP-airs-and-graces.

They do get things right in terms of flavours and wine selection but its always overshadowed by something be it slow service or stingy portions.

This, definitely!.
