Canada 2025 - 16 days below freezing...

Excellent TR, thanks. It takes quite a bit for me being a non- skier take an interest in skiing TRs but it brought back a lot of great memories about Western Canada.

The dishes in the QF Flounge do look attractive.

I miss Tim’s !
As I said it is such a visually stunning place that regardless of being into the snow or not it's hard not to be flawed by the beauty of the mountains. Especially when we live on such a relatively flat continent!

Was very impressed by the LA lounge, however I did not expect to see it at what I'd almost describe as over capacity just before QF12 boarded.

Our Tims experiences were nearly ruined on day 1 buying some very stale timbits, fortunately Penticton made up for that!
Good Trip...doubt I would be in the Fairmonts but.

I drove much of the same route in Nov 18 months ago, no skiing, just a little snow.
I need to go back in full winter for some skiing...one day.
The Revelstoke section was a washout with rain but, so good to see what I should have seen from my car but couldnt.

The Fairmonts were amazing despite the price, if you can find stay 3 pay 2 rates or similar I'd recommend trying at least Whistler or Banff! (Or YVR).

Highly recommend going back to ski Revy if you're intermediate or above, it is such a beautiful place and a great test of abilities. (And Red too, loved it so much!).

😳Amazing!. So priority luggage came through as priority luggage using AA priority tags ? Did you have oversized luggage?

Yeah I couldn't believe it either! Snowboard/ski bag was through oversize. I'd estimate it was out within 2 minutes of our suitcases, which themselves were amongst the first 20-30 bags off the carousel.

Another no skier who found this TR wonderful. Have done the Alberta section of your trip in spring staying at Fairmonts and it is truly beautiful But great to see it with so much snow.

Thanks for the TR @HirafuHeartAttack. I’ve been to a couple of the places you visited - back in the early 1980s 🤭. Must be time to show a little support for the Canadians and make a return visit. I got a bit scared off it skiing Mt Norquay in -23 degree with wind chill on top of that in my insufficient cheap uni student gear 😂
