Been on hold with QF for a good 40 minutes and it's now 0230...I need my sleep so perhaps someone here could shed some light on my query...

I have a ticket on QF in December that I am considering changing. It is international and booked in N, thus non-refundable. Booked on Expedia Ireland if it makes any difference.

The fare rules (obtained from EF) state the following;

CANCELLATIONS

ANY TIME
TICKET IS NON-REFUNDABLE IN CASE OF CANCEL/NO-SHOW/
REFUND.

Then, under one of the Waiver conditions;

AT ANY TIME THE FARE MAY BE USED AS CREDIT TOWARDS
PURCHASE OF ANY FARE OF EQUAL OR HIGHER VALUE
ASSESSED FROM THE POINT OF ORIGIN PROVIDED ONLY A
QF/BA FARE MAY BE USED / THE CONDITIONS OF THE NEW
FARE HAVE BEEN MET / THE REISSUE FEE SHOWN ABOVE
-IF ANY- IS COLLECTED.
IF THE NEW FARE IS SUBSEQUENTLY CANCELLED THE
ORIGINAL CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY. REISSUED
TICKETS MUST BE ANNOTATED AS SHOWN IN TICKET
ENDORSEMENTS.

Now I interpret this as I could change the routing, as long as I depart the same port (PER) and pay the AUD100 change fee.

Anyone have anything to back this up, or any experience with such a request?

Considering changing PER-SIN to PER-xSYD-LAX. Booked the original fare through Expedia Ireland if that makes a difference...

My droopy eyelids say thanks!!
