Very enjoyable trip report. Great to read you both had a great time.

I would love to go on a cruise but wife gets motion sickness. Don't want to torture her. I'll never forget the 39 days we spent on the Patris from Piraeus-Sydney in 1972 when the Suez canal was closed. I was only 8 years old but that left a lasting memory. Maybe one day.

The Patris - that name takes me back. Operated by the Chandris Line - I went on it a few times in my Customs Days. No quite up to QM2 standards.

Has your wife only been on the Thai island ferries? They are wicked for sea sickness.

Agreed but for an 8 year old it was great.

Actually none in Thailand but we have done HKG-MFM twice. She gets motion sickness in taxis, buses and trains. The tablets help a little but still torture.
