Actually it is no longer correct. Only the referrer gets a $20 credit, the new member doesn't get a $20 credit. They changed the system sometime earlier this year.

To get to $40 price you would need one of those birthday vouchers like DOT-ABY-DAE-UAL (already used), otherwise the price is $60.
