You don't need to make a gazzillion to qualify. I certainly don't and I was sent an invitation. It's to do with spend on the card amongst other things.
isn't it like 250k you have to spend a year? that pretty much is a gazzilion.

The Australian Centurion card has different rates to the US Centurion Card.According to wiki it's 2500 to join and annual fee of $5000

80k spend is still a lot. i wish i even made that much
Some people might be putting through business expenditure on the card (unless I am mistaken)

I’ve had a card for six or so years (can’t remember exactly) and I was told some years back that AMEX weeds out the tradies who put all their Bunnings purchases on the card, etc, and looks only at discretional spending. Though recently it seems to me that they might have broadened their base.
I stand corrected and am impressed Something to aspire to in life

No mea culpa required as I suspect you are indeed correct. These days Platinum is the new Gold and Centurion the new Platinum.

You aren't mistaken, in fact I think Amex encourage it. They issue you two Centurion cards that can be billed and reconciled separately. One for business and one for personal use etc. Some people might be putting through business expenditure on the card (unless I am mistaken)
I think you will find that the 150K you are referring to is combined family income, not single income.Given that middle income is defined by Gillard's govt as 150K or less then you have a way to go.
Still does not vary what can be put through a card ... irrespect of a combined or single income.I think you will find that the 150K you are referring to is combined family income, not single income.
