That's how Velocity works. Executor provides paperwork to Velocity, points get transferred. I imagine Qantas will do something similar.Source?

I thoiught that was standard practice on death of a frequent flyer (or stayer), but this 2019 points hacks article indicates there are a number of scenarios. Their summary of selected airline programmes here...Qantas will scrap a “grossly unfair” rule preventing grieving relatives from reclaiming their late loved one’s loyalty program points.
The embattled airline confirmed it will from October correct the controversial policy, which automatically wiped a Frequent Flyer’s points if they passed away
And it seems similar variation with hotel and credit card programs. This awards wallet article outlines what happens with a US oriented selection of a few such schemes. Another article from Motley Fool has more summaries of programs and guidance for executors on what to do. Not sure I'll bother paying out $$$ right now to have my estate planning reviewed as a result of the QF announcement.
