That's a fair point. The mods are voluntary, do a lot of work ( more than we know I think) and it would be a great gesture if a couple of spots could be reserved outside the competition for them to attend.
Perhaps QF could look into this for the future.

Ooohh...is there an "after party"? If I'm taking a whole day of leave then count me in! Will it be in the lounge? I hope someone can guest me in! Was meant to be WP by last weekend, but a change in travel plans meant it won't be for another two weeks

I think it would be appropriate for a mod to be granted an auto entry each time. And they could share the opportunity around. I can understand them being unable to enter into a competition but an auto entry seems perfectly valid given the work they do.

I'm based in SYD at the moment, so it will only be a trip out to the city for me. Just sounded like it might kick on at T3 (I can't envisage an after party at Krispy Kreme so I assumed one of the lounges). Was thinking one of the WPs travelling on the day might be able to get me in under the same day policy.

Everyone travelling interstate was in the SYD CL last time. The local contingent went home directly from Rockpool.
I will be heading home on the train after the lunch unless I want a divorce

Princess Fiona beat me to it, but yes. There's a good chance they'll be enough SG's or WP's on hand to guest you inside at least the QC or DOM J lounge.

Someone had the cojones to ask nicely on the off chance, and the CL magically welcomed us in, with a tour of the lounge from the SYD DOM Lounges Manager. Now I'm not intending to set the CL as an expectation, but good luck and fortune might just see the heavens align on that one again.

What would you rather; divorce from the HWMBO, or being shunned by the AFF crowd because you passed up another chance to visit the CL. As it stands you're already on shaky ground with us lot after the last time you blew us off

Any editing is obvious and clear, and only done within site rules. Moderators may be seen to have bias because at the end of the day they are members as well, won't does not happen is moderation because of any bias, rules are rules.

I think it would be cool if the mods got a seat. Over on FT the BAEC mods get invited to the BA events.......a little different, they have different mods for each forum on FT. However, the mods put in countless hours, contribute loads & do a job - many would not volunteer for.
