Changes to ANZ Platinum/Black Travel Insurance

.

Advised via email of acceptance of delayed luggage claim in full (converted to AUD at not so great exchange rate) with no excess capped at AUD500 was received today. Funds expected in nominated account within 3 working days.
Same here. But they do say we are supposed to claim from the airline first.

Data Point for ANZ Qantas Black Card Holders.

Recently returned from overseas where AeroMexico lost our luggage for 36 hrs.

As we were in transit in YVR for one night and not sure if 1. They would find 2. If they found, not sure if they would get it to us in time before our next flights, we went and bought sufficient clothes to last us 4 days until we reached home.

We lodged an online delayed luggage claim on May 28th with Allianz on claimmanager.com.au/anz with flight details, a screen shot of the luggage delay report in the AeroMexico system, and screen shots of receipts in CAD from shops in YVR.

Insurance payout from Alianz/ANZ received 2 working days after claim acceptance

Seems I'm under exclusion periods for most CC offers so was looking at an ANZ card.

Going through the PDS, it seems to indicate a "return overseas travel ticket" is treated as a singular ticket, rather than multiple being permitted (i.e. two one-way). Never come across this style of wording before to my knowledge, but is anyone aware/made an enquiry as to whether separate tickets (i.e. awards) are still valid?

my understanding is a return overseas ticket also includes two one ways or one airline ticket and one cruise ship return. But never had to make a claim

Years ago I rang up… verbally they have confirmed it can be any combination of tickets as long as you have something to return to Australia, purchased before you depart.

Agree with all your posts. It's always been my assumption, but the wording on the ANZ pds had me wondering.

Might apply and hope to get approved and delivered by this Friday. Thanks.
