I have a member for a stay card that you're welcome to use if you'd like to try the program out first. Bascially it means you're a member of the program for that particular stay so you would have the 20% benefit for everything. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Thanks Danger - really appreciate the kind offer. I had already applied with Macquarie before seeing your message however so I'll see how that goes.

I have a heap of Oceania travel in the last 6 months of this year and I really like the Hiltons as they are generally a known quantity, at least in this region .. I hate cough shoots. So I thought it made some sense to get this card (after procrastinating for ages about it).

I want to stay at Hilton Canary Wharf for about 10 days from May 29 th.
Is there any way to get the price down from £269 a night.
Apparently the 40% promo requires a 14 day notice period so I miss that offer.
I am a Hilton Honors member.

Ouch. I just had a look. £269 _excluding_ taxes which are an additional £53 a night. Something must be going on as there is almost no availability until the end of June - which bodes badly for getting a more reasonable rate I suspect.

I almost got stung recently when looking at a trip to ADL. Hilton ADL cheapest room for the week of interest was $460 / night ... essentially rack rate. yikes!

Double Yikes for ADL!
I stay out at Lakes Resort in West Lakes as it has great simple food, nice rooms, great water aspect and a lovely walking track.
No it is not a Hilton
Dont you just hate it when there is a deal on but you have missed it by 6 days.
QF I Class fares fit into that category.
Now on London I will still stay there at Canary Wharf as Mrscove is travelling with me and we got our air tickets at my favourite price. This hotel has great reviews and scored a 4.6 out of 5 so it should be fine.
Lucky the exchange rate is so good.

Do let me know when you're here and I'll try find an evening where I'm not working to pop out for a quick drink

Yes that would be really good. I have sent you a PM on the dates we are in Canary Wharf.
SQ need a lot of IT help with their new web site......it is a real clunker!

Just out of interest are the Member for a stay cards still the same as previous years?

The MFaS cards I received last week are identical to the one I have left that I received in May 2010.

I still have 2 of the old HPC "Member for a Stay" cards....can I still use them?

I also have two left over.

However, the terms and conditions suggest the card is only valid for 12 months from when it's issued. I wouldn't be too worried about this, though.
