Changes to QFF points earn rate at Big W instore

Just returned from a trip to Tassie. EDR not accepted in that state...

Your correct in your observation that Woolies Supermarkets in Tasmania they have a different loyalty program again from the EDR card.

Highly confusing, I'm sure they must be looking into rolling over The current " Frequent Shoppers Club" into EDR, I'm mean they changed their Trading name from Purity to Woolworths about 10 years ago, surely they can change the name of the loyalty program over to a more universally known one?

With regards to Big W an EDR card will earn QFF points in Tasmania & strangely enough if you select QFF points over Fuel on your preferences in your EDR card when filling up at Woolworths/Caltex fuel outlets you will earn the QFF points like normal too...

I can vouch for this with my own card usage a few months back when last in Tassie, QFF points posted fine on fuel & Big W purchases in Tassie.

Not sure if I'm reading it right, but it appears that Big W is still 1 point per $ (and not even discounting the first $30) for online orders? If so, just order enough for the free click and collect.

The minimum order for click and collect is $40.

I don't do jet lag.

So not only are QF points harder to use, but now they are harder to earn. Hmmm.

Not sure that the BigW changes make QFF points harder to earn, because it was pretty difficult to shop at BigW in the first place, being such a useless physical store and an even more useless online store. No loss of points for me.

I used to bulk buy a lot of household products there, such as toilet rolls, laundry powder etc... however I did often buy so much that I wouldn't go back for moths... but I did earn a lot too!

When they used to offer bonus points and I had friends with kids, I'd simply buy them nerf guns all the time, win for them, win for me! :p

I used to earn quite a lot of points from there, now it just seems too hard. For me, I was able to pick up baby clothes, undies, birthday cards/wrapping paper, toys for presents, books and printer ink and I could easily hit whatever target was set or just earn a decent amount of points. Now I shop around more for this things as the points haul isn't enough to get me through the door. I probably don't actually save much money though.

With the enhancements and lack of bonus points at BigW, I hardly shop there now.

I only shop there when I need to buy clothing for my kids as Target (which is only 30 seconds away) has a very poor range of clothing and Big W out ranks them 100%

I forgot about printer ink. Would always buy that too, but I've stopped printing ;)

I rarely, if ever, shop there now. Kmart gets my business usually as they seem to stock the basics I need. For some reason our Big W, while being a large store, never has what I want.

Bought a Rebel giftcard at BigW today and it didnt register for any points. As far as I know outside gifcards do still credit at Woolworths

Head of Big W has been sacked/resigned. Things looking down down for Big W and WW.

Oh dear!

I really feel sorry for the management team's in the actual stores themselves at the moment.

Direction is sadly lacking in the once great retailer that was Woolworths Limited.

The company goes from one strategy to the next resulting in dismissal failure.

I wonder what Roger Corbett thinks of Woolies atm?
