Cheaper Jetstar flights through .jp

You can ring them ;)

Just wondering if anyone has tried this and succeeded? I know you say that it is not a price match so it can be done, but will they use this clause (found on the JQ website): "If not purchased with your original Starter fare, a Plus bundle can be added to your booking later however change fees and fare difference will apply." to apply a "fare difference" i.e the difference between AUD and JPY prices?

I have added a Plus bundle to my dad's booking before through the JQ call centre and they did charge me change fees and a fare difference (which was based on what the current fare was showing on their end). So it is most likely.

Absolutely ridiculous prices. $135 HBA-MEL-HBA for 2 people (inc credit card fees). Same on JQ site is DOUBLE the price. Flights are @ good times, mid morning leave, mid afternoon return.

If changes are made inside the 24hrs of booking, the change fee is generally waived. Also if the payment has been completed in JPY (not by using DCC), all the fare prices will be in JPY thereafter.

I'm really sorry, but for the life of me I can't seem to find any of these cheap fares departing Perth...

Can anybody break it down for me? I tried both jetstar.jp and expedia.jp and tried numerous dates; would anyone be so kind as to provide an ex PER example?

Thanks!

It took me 2 mins to find one for 1 Oct from PER-MEL, 13:20. I only used skyscanner which shows Expedia.co.jp as $126 (Y11,500) while Jetstar is showing $179. I don't know what you are doing wrong but try that date, one-way on skyscanner and/or Expedia.co.jp.

Theinsider/gizzard,

You both are legends. I had previously been searching for PER to OOL/BNE without luck. Now that I know that it really exists I will keep up the search.

Thanks again!

It's nice to be classed as a "legend" after taking a bit of a pounding for the last 24 hours on another topic!
Out of interest I tried both of the routes that you mentioned for the same date as I tried before for PER-MEL, 1 Oct, and, like you, I didn't find any price difference. It looks as though it may only apply to certain routes.

It's a shame you can't get these fares with the plus bundle. Or am I missing something?

No worries mate, thanks again for looking!

I feel abit less dumb as I had spent hours searching before you re-established my sanity :)

Does there seem to be any problem booking a standard domestic flight using this booking method. My brother in Cairns is looking at saving a considerable amount to travel with family to Brisbane shorthly. He has worked out the conversion fee and finds he will still be ahead of the Jetstar.com.au website.Any info would be appreciated, thanks Terry.

Hi Terry!

I purchased and used an expedia.co.jp airfare on Sunday from MEL - HBA and no one questioned a thing! Just do online check in!

Cheers,
JDogman

No advantage over Jetstar / Jetstar Asia for me DRW-SIN and return (booking return Jetstar Asia is cheaper for Bundle)

Jetstar no longer listed?!?

EDIT: Seems it just went down temporarily
