Hi all, my child is just a few SC away from attaining Qantas Gold status. I found online that a child QFF Gold member needs to be accompanied by an adult QFF Gold member to access the lounge. I’m wondering if the child can be accompanied by an adult without status, or even a non-QFF member? Also, is this policy only for Qantas lounges, or does it apply to all Oneworld lounges? It seems like there aren’t many benefits for young premium members, though I guess this may be fairly rare...Thanks in advance!

Im guessing the reason is that Lounges are licensed premises, and minors generally aren't allowed into bars without adult supervision.

They can guest the parent in I believe. The parents/guardian does not need to hold gold+ status, but they need to be flying as per the current lounge rules right now. So no lounge access if they're the only person flying.

I would hazard a guess that this is alliance wide as they all serve alcohol last i checked.

That makes sense. Normally, we’d accompany them, but I was just wondering what happens if they need to fly with their grandparents, who don’t have QFF Gold.
