China, Korea and a little bit (of Japan) on the side

After lunch I had no choice but to put the AirPods in and listen o music to drown out the sound of an infant, who has been crying for what seems like 7 hours straight.
I hope they are not going to Melbourne.

Arrived terminal 2 and for once I haven’t been moved to terminal 1. It has happened every time recently.
Onto the train and to terminal 3 and into the Silverkris Lounge.
I love the showers here. I look forward to them every time.
Freshened and it’s now 5.30pm with a departure time of 7.20pm.
I literally bumped into John McEnroe leaving the shower. I wanted to him to say “you cannot be serious”, but no such luck.
The views arriving into Changi were nice.
Flight time from wheels up to down was 7 hours and 48 minutes.

Flight time was 6 hours and 58 minutes.
From de-plane to through customs took no time - about 30 minutes max.
Called A1 Parking and got whisked away to my car.
Got home around 8.15am and went straight to bed, doing a lot of coughing.
I think the best part of the trip was seeing North Korea. I can’t understate just how amazing that was.
Walking the Great Wall was super cool as well.
I was probably sickest while in Seoul so I really should give that another go. I tried none of the local food so it deserves another chance.

So that’s the end.
Like I said a while back, it going to take a week to get over this virus even now that I am home, but now I am able to rest, hopefully it speeds things up.
I wanted to thank you all for your care and support during what’s been a difficult two and a bit weeks.
It was certainly a curve ball, but sometimes you need some perspective. I still managed to see some wonderful things and I’ll be fine.
Countless others are not so fortunate.
Just knowing the AFF Community had my back was very comforting.
There was a time where I was adamant that I was going to just fly home on the first available plane and deal with the cost later, but I stuck it out and i learned that I am perhaps a lot more resilient than I often give myself credit for.
My next trip is Queenstown, NZ, where my daughter is getting married in November.
Other than that, I will have to put my thinking cap on.
Right now, the thought of moving from my bed doesn’t seem like a great idea.
Thank you for riding along with me.
Sorry I don’t deal with being sick very well and of, at times, I came across as a bit of a whiner.
But we made it home in one piece.

Mate, great trip report, thanks so much for making all the effort to write and post it. And, FWIW, I didn't consider you a whiner at any stage. You were sick, you simply stated the facts - and probably toughed it out more than some/most would have done. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the TR and still managing to update it on the go even when so sick. I hope that some bed rest will get you back on your feet soon.

Excellent TR - I can't even keep up with TR when I'm on the go let alone when I'm sick. Even though you were unwell your humour shone through

Thanks for another great report. Your reports are always so interesting. Hope you are fully recovered soon. Do give South Korea another go when you can - spring or autumn are both lovely. The countryside is beautiful and it's very easy to get around.
