Thanks for the great TR, bigpetebrown.

I'm off to Beijing in a few days time. I've been there before but you have given me some great extra tips!

No-one in front of us at the premium check-in counter. Checked through to Brisbane but I forgot to ask about moving our connecting flight in Sydney as we wouldn't make it. Gave cards for both Cathay Pacific Lounge and 'shower lounge' as the Cathay Lounge doesn't have one. Premium security and immigration took minutes.

I'll be on QF107/QF108. When I was at PEK last time, I thought the process after check-in was awful. Huge lines, some pushing, a bit chaotic. Is there actually "premium security and immigration" now? I think too that Qantas status pax can access the EK lounge(?) at PEK, so I might give that a try. But it might be a "no" at the door.

I'm second guessing myself now but I'm sure we were directed to use some kind premium line security line. Maybe I'm mistaken and even Al can't remember. Sorry if I give you a bum steer.

Another great TR. Many thanks for taking the effort.

I find writing a TR and putting it together with photos to be very difficult. I like your presentation style.

Fantastic TR - many different parts of China not previously known about. Love those pandas.

I agree with others - I enjoy your writing style and great TR and photos. Well done.

Where to next?

Thanks Major. Glad people enjoy them.

Really loved the TR and obviously some great adventures. Some we will be unable to repeat-mrsdrron really cant go above 2800 metres- she turns blue. Also she doesn't eat chilli and some of those dishes seemed to have just a little too much for her.
However we may have to check the pandas in Chengdu and allocate a whole day to them.
A little jealous of your next trip. Love Yellowstone and Frank Lloyd Wright.

Pandas so yes! We have a lot of catching up to do to get anywhere near to you and mrsdrron. We were both a little concerned about how I would cope with the altitude after last year's health discovery but all was well. Yes, Sichuan is all about chili :)

Thanks Pete (and Al).

I've enjoyed tagging along. Great information and photos of a part of China that I knew little about.

Having done a couple of TRs, I know only too well how much time and effort you have put into this. Well done and thanks again.

Great TR, as mentioned earlier, thanks for the “warts and all” viewpoint.

Thanks heaps :)

Look forward to the next one (hint hint).

Thanks for the great read - looked like a fantastic trip. I'm already jealous hearing about Yellowstone plans - I feel a bit lost not having any travel lined up for the next year at the moment!
