I'll be throwing some xx_X in the tub to sort the men from the boys
So what will the men be having?
Next time I'm not going to fly out of WTB, necessitating a midnight departure from home on a day of solid drinking. By the time I'd finished 'lunch' I had just an hours sleep and it was 5pm!
Thanks for making it possible. I had Zane and Mike in my ear all the way back to the city, singing your praises!
Thanks Matt and Charlie, another brilliant day. Drank a lot, but didn't stop when we pulled in.
As to be expected, I hit the clubs and crawled into the CP around 3am. Up at 10 for breakfast and a lounge with Sam where I drank the QF J lounge out of schnapps. Just landed in the gold coast, going home for a quick shower than hitting the clubs in Brisbane tonight. If anyone is around Brisbane tomorrow feel free to come around for a Bollinger Brunch around 10.30.

Apologies for my delay getting back to this thread (Christmas happened). A smaller group of AFFers than last year, but we were supplemented by some frequent train travellers to make up a good group.
A huge thanks to BAM1748 (and +1), the owner of BAM1741, Charlie, the drivers, the guards, and others involved. Once again this event was fantastic. I really enjoyed the day. As with last year this was one of my favourite events for the year, and a great opportunity for us plebs to experience the romance of private rail travel.
Special mention to Matt and Trevor for the tour of the different carriages and some great information about this fascinating new hobby...
Now to "borrow" GPH's chequebook to buy a train car?
That now be a problem, I got all excited as you know, but Mrsw GPH has pointed out that maybe I need to spend some cash putting my MGB back on the road, so with a rush of blood .......
You mean you are welching?
Poor show!
Now now. I've considered the options. Living in "narrow gauge land" owning a BAM is not ideal. A 1967 MK1 cherry red MG with champagne chiller is !!
Even if the only winery outing is sirromet.
