Any idea when you guys will get to Goulburn? Someone (not me) made the trip there for the sole purpose of having lunch with you guys, and she has been there for some time...

Oh dear. Where is Goulburn?

As far as I know, we will be there in 30 minutes (revised schedule).

ETA Canberra is 1hr late due to a shorter stop in Tarago.

After a slight delay of about 3 hours the train with the interesting people (as averse to the regular trains that went through), finally came into sight and so I caught up with the group at Goulburn railway. Sauntered off to the Paragon Cafe c1940 for a very late lunch where it was good to put some real names and faces to the AFF names.

Got hit by a big stone from a mower by the side of the road on the way home that was so loud on the windscreen that I ducked. NRMA will do a chip fix on Sunday I hope.

What a great day. Had a lot of fun catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Thank you to Matt and everyone who made the day so much fun

Thanks for coming all, after our very late departure we arrived only 20 mins late into Canberra.

It's the passengers that make the trip.

Matt

Thanks for making it possible. I had Zane and Mike in my ear all the way back to the city, singing your praises!

Great trip.

Many thanks Matt for arranging, the team who worked the train, and the bar staff.

Thanks for the invite once again. Really enjoyed myself, even if I had to have a nap after 'lunch'.

Maybe you should've been with the 'old uns' if you're taking afternoon naps!

Looks like it was an enjoyable day. For the next one I shall endeavour to plan a little better and attend :)

Thank you Matt for a new and different experience, the romance of private rail travel was always a mystery to me.
The bonus was that the train came to Canberra, ALH has been pushing for me to visit for some time, so we are sticking around till Sunday to check out the sights.

Next time I'm not going to fly out of WTB, necessitating a midnight departure from home on a day of solid drinking. By the time I'd finished 'lunch' I had just an hours sleep and it was 5pm! :p

You can do when you're young.

Am now home after a wonderful day, thanks to Matt and team for organising the train trip. Think herding cats.

To Charlie for her bar attending and food distribution skills and finally the people who attended. A great day was had by all even if some people couldn't stay awake all day. ;)
