Citi Personal Loan Plus=Velocity.

What the least someone has left outstanding on the loan whilst waiting for the points? I am asking so as to minimise the interest paid.

Asked for Velocity number on 2 Nov
Points hit my account today (22 Nov)

Less than 2 months from application to points. Now to pay off the last $100 and close the loan. Can’t fault any aspect of the process from Citi (NAB) here. Might hit them up for a new CC and another 100k velocity points as a token of my appreciation. :p

Got around to ringing to finalise the loan yesterday. Very quick and easy. Made the payment from my Citi Plus Transaction account while on the phone. Loan account has already disappeared. This offer has been one of the most painless experiences yet.

Do you get an email from them once the points have been paid or were you just checking your VFF account?

Here's my timeline so far:

Nov. 25 - applied for the 10k loan
Dec. 5 - loan approved
Dec. 9 - received card and activated
Dec. 14 - asked for ff number

smooth so far. Also does anyone know how to pay upfront? I can't seem to find any bpay/bsb details on the app, and I don't have a statement yet.

Happy with Citi. I got the Prestige last month and got the 300k bonus points too so can't wait to get the bonus for this one!

hi, I also got approved and recall supplying them with my personal bank details thinking the loan would be transferred into it automatically after activating account online.
But seems the $10k is just sitting in the citibank loan account as available credit.
Do I manually transfer it out? Then transfer back say around $9000. and pay rest off monthly?
Thanks for the help

It should be automatically transferred to your personal account once you activate the debit card, unsure what would happen if you tried to manually transfer it out but I probably wouldn't try it.

Ok thanks, I will call them tomorrow
I called them yesterday and asked about the money (approved, received card, activated 8 days ago). The lady did some checking then made some surprise sound over the phone. Anyway she did something and assured me the money will be available the next day. Today it arrived.

Not sure how to pay it yet, need to wait for the first statement I think.

There are BSB / Account details listed under the account in the Internet banking. Unsure about the app but these details work to pay it.

I got a request for VFF number 3 weeks ago and then on Dec 14 so I assume they send them out of the same day and managed to NOT credit my points when supplied 3 weeks ago!

So apparently i am ineligable to receive the bonus points as i had paid the loan off already or possibly too early...

Oh such a bummer, did you pay it off completely before getting the points? I think everyone is saying not to pay it off completely before the points arrive

That was absolutely clear in the terms and conditions - and so many warnings on this thread about not doing so accidentally.
