Citibank Continues to Frustrate

I just swapped SIM, from Australian, to China, to Hong Kong, then Australia, then China, then Australia, in the last 2 weeks. The OTP on the app kept working, only the Snapshot function kept dying.

I reset the app after every upgrade (by deleting data of the app in Android).

When I needed to set up a new payer in Macau, I simply put my Australian SIM into the phone, received the SMS, sent the money, then put the Hong Kong SIM back into my phone.

How about a guide on how to deal with Citibank anywhere? They are awful.

They have a hold on my Readycredit account and this is now the 4th call to try and resolve. Promised call back twice and that has not happened.

Randomly my fingerprint to unlock functionality just died on my app.... anyone know how to turn back on?

Unfortunately re-starting doesn't have much effect. You have to go to Settings in the app to re-authorise fingerprint login. However, mine keeps throwing me out every two days or so, after three weeks of that I've just given up and tap in my password as normal.

I take it more evidence why the only interaction I have with Citibank is because I have a fee-free for life credit card from them.

A greater number would try it without global roaming enabled, but in general they will only try this once before realising it's not really practical and ed up doing the investigation to get it at an affordable price when they get back home again.
I travel overseas at least twice a year and NEVER use roaming - wifi is everywhere - as I hear horror stories all the time about massive bill shock. And, Aldi does not work overseas - there is no roaming

I travel overseas every few weeks :) I can assure you Aldi does roam overseas (as I type on an Aldi SIM phone in Asia)

Really? That is great news !
So how do you set it up? I'm on a pre-paid $35 a month Large plan - are we talking the same thing?

Edit: Found it on the website FAQs. $1.00 a minute to make/receive calls. That's why I said **** that to all roaming plans all those years ago...... :)

I use roaming in Thailand so people can get in touch with me but I don't answer the call. If someone I know I call them back either with Thai sim or Skype.

Hope this is thr right thread. Has anyone worked out the rewards points system. They seem to bunch up their rewards points into blocks of 4 to 5 days and therefore you can never work out which transactions they have deemed as eligible. Last month I was 500 points out and its tricky when you have to meet 1000 dollars a month to get bonus points. Any insights or tips? Thanks

I have checked it often, it takes ages and does my head in, but I have never found a fault.

whats tricky about it? if you have to spend $1000, then spend it. You dont need to go to the rewards page to figure it out.

What is tricky is that if you spend $1000 and they only accept $750 then you don't get the bonus points.

There's no easy way other than to track your spend for eligible payments.

the criteria for what is not eligible spend is very clear, so its very easy to understand what will not earn points.
Agreed only spent at expedia and woolworths. 57% of transactions were not counted as eligible. They have opened a case to investigate
