Outrageous, Extra prawns... That's just not cricket said Goodonya...

FWIW - some lovely wines were evaporated tonight. I'm not convinced attendees drunk them, I think it was the heat which evaporated them!!

Honestly fellas. Fancy making fun of my predicament on the night when my prawns evaporated. There's one prawn every minute! You should be hung, prawn and quartered for making pun of my prawn anemia I suffered that night

So after a Think Tank official meeting did you make any progress?
Substantial progress TBH cove - a brief cross section here:
1. After exhaustive discussion - little to do with the subject of Friday the 11ths activities - it was concluded it may well be prudent if we were to meet again next Tuesday night to undertake a post Think Tank Think Tank planning session specifically to address the shortcomings of Thursday nights discussions.
2. It was also decided we would indeed adhere to the wishes of AFF members who took the time to vote on dates and lock in Friday March 11.
3. On the subject of location it was further decided that this momentous gathering will indeed take place at La Camera at 19:00 - address previously supplied in earlier post.
4. One major accomplishment on the evening that cannot go unpublished was the astonishing behaviour of Tommy and blacky who sat opposite each other the entire evening and openly spoke to each other without once sending an SMS to each other!
5. It was clearly displayed on the evening that contrary to popular belief it is much easier to fall down in a screaming heap 10 mins after arrival and whilst 1st glass of red is unfinished than it is 5hrs and 17 bottles of red later.

All in all after prolonged and at times torturous discussion the evening evolved into a very productive THINK TANK - well at least I think it did - please correct me fellow attendees if I have misreported anything above.

Keep watching your points rewards account in between all these Think Tank sessions. More points arrived so I have to transfer them to a good choice.

I guess at some point in time we should try to muster the top paddock and actually see who we can round up and get into the yards for next Friday night - that is Friday March 11 if there was any confusion.

I know I will be there - anybody else want to join me?

Note: Before you rush out and buy that QF J flt to join this auspicious event please bear in mind that regardless of the title of this gathering I would suggest there will be sparse discussion taking place re Citibank Points Conversion Rate. What I can guarantee is there will be no shortage of red wine consumed on the evening - may even be a tall tale or two told also.

I will be there on Friday 11th... (but not on Tuesday 8th)

From the Citi thread:

My two cents is 80% SQ KrisFlyer, 20% Virgin Australia depending on your current inventories of both.

I'll discuss it more at the think tank drink tank.

Reasoning - SQ KF essentially has 3 years, with the ability to extend via a clunky interface and some unpublished status benefits. 4+ years of travel is a reasonable time period to burn miles (subject to current balance), and KF has always had the best "value" IMHO.

VA - I don't have a VA credit card so as CE mentioned at the last think tank meta think tank, sending a respectable inventory to VA is probably wise. Considering this opens up VA, EY and DL it's not a bad play at all.

My recent favourite is there is actually DL domestic awards on quasi monopoly routes. This may seem out of character, but if you ever want to go to the big national parks, or Mount Rushmore, or small places in the mid west, the south, etc, then remember this post.

I'll be there Friday 11th
Phew ............. thank god for that ................ for a couple days there I thought it was going to be me and penegal only ................. not sure I could suffer another earbashin' from him.

Will be good to meet you Duffa - and now there is 3 coming I'll cancel the phone box outside and book a table inside - 7pm at La Camera - 446 Chapel St, South Yarra.

Looking forward to it.

So what date did we decide on?

I have dug up a 2009 Shiraz for tonight - hopefully it is okay. See you kids at 7pm.

Oh please stay by me Diana!
Time you brought out the inspirational reds from Cullen's is what I am thinking CE.
i will be unavoidably detained in London so I won't be there to help out with your indecision.

What a superb night! It was great to meet Duffa & daughter, and as always good to catch up with Cruiser Elite.

A very productive Drink Tank, with lots of thinking of good red wine.

Yes very productive night and also great to meet Duffa and his stunning adopted daughter - clearly adopted when you looked at the 2 together.

How good was that pasta?

And how good will it be when AFF's newest poster Risotto hits the airwaves? Such a stunningly refreshing younger view on many matters regarding pointy end travel

Looks like a good night - when is it? I might be able to come on the 11th of March 2016

Yes, indeed. Was great to get my very first AFF meeting out of the way and finally meet some fellow "left turners".
Now to work out how to burn those points over the next three years.
