Citibank Select - Bonus 80k points

I reckon Amex is more considerate.

They may well be - Citi are pretty good when you ring up to "cancel" though :) I'm currently enjoying 1 bonus CitiReward point per $1 spent on my CBG (2.25pts/$1) until 31 Dec 2012 after I rang up to (legitimately) cancel it once I'd switched to Select. At least one other AFF member got an even better deal - two bonus CitiRewards points on their CBG (3.25pts/$1 total) until 31 Dec 2012 after an attempted cancellation.

Re: Citibank Signature - Bonus 80k points

Awful experience trying to get the 80,000 points out of them. Why oh why do these credit card issuers insist - especially for their premium customers - on providing awful service? It never ceases to amaze me. Amex Platinum Charge Card being another culprit.

Hi,

Has anyone got further details or had any experience on this Citibank Signature card offering 80k bonus points after first spend with annual fee of $395 and additional $49 for opting in to Qantas Rewards?

- Are you allowed to hold an existing Citibank credit card (e.g. Citibusiness gold)?
- Are the 80k bonus points transferrable to QFF rewards (i.e. do you need to opt into Qantas Rewards on activation before your first spend)
- Has anyone had a bad or lengthy experience in chasing up the bonus 80k points?

[can an op please rename the title to Citibank Signature?]
