It's been suggested before that the period is 6 months.
Yeah, no reports for this specific card that I'm aware of - only other branded cards where Citibank is offering the credit.
No real harm right now in trying.

When they reject application like this do they still do a credit check or reject prior to getting to that stage?

I got rejected and offered the inferior platinum card over the signature. Opted against taking it. Bit annoyed as I have no idea why I would be declined.

Hi guys,

Can someone tell me if paying body corporate fees are considered part of the bonus spend for this card?

Just a Citibank datapoint (particularly around the 6 month unofficial wait period). Have just closed a Virgin Flyer card and a Qantas card in the past couple of weeks - both issued by Citibank and was approved for this card today.

I guess I wouldn't tempt fate with getting the same card within a 6 month card - I did with the flyer unsuccessfully 3 months later then was successful on same card after 9 months.

When did you apply for both the Virgin and Qantas cards?

I've had the Qantas card for nearly a year so closed before Annual fee (and to improve chances of this) so 11 months ago.
I applied for the Virgin Flyer card in late Feb I think it was and did the 3 month, got the points and voucher then closed down.

Just applied for this card. Spot for Qantas so number entered. Also spot for a landline number (would not except mobile). Luckily I have a landline (even though I have never used it), but I found that very weird in this day and age.

Anyway...Provisionally approved, sent payslip. Now we wait. Have not had a Qantas card every and have not had a Virgin Flyer card for years. So not expecting any nasty surprises...

Applied for this today. Couldn't upload documents at time of application for some reason. Jumped on live chat and sorted it out pretty quick. 3 hours later approved which I thought was pretty quick.
Hopefully the points arriving runs as smooth.

I applied after hours and 15 hours later was approved, after uploading the same pay slip for both proof of income and proof of employment. I was then bombarded with six text messages and seven emails simultaneously. The card I was approved for is "Citibank Rewards Credit Card - Signature" (which, incidentally, does not feature on their list of cards here: https://www.citibank.com.au/keyfactsheet/GENERIC_KFS.pdf). I hope this is the Qantas one referred to in the first post.

May I confirm please that ATO, government charges etc. do qualify for the $4k minimum spend (I'm aware they don't earn points)?

stuffed up my partners application by attaching a random document instead of the payslip, can't even log in to the application to rectify it!
