I spoke to them yesterday - Yes they are aware and will go through and credit them manually but not 10 weeks yet (I mentioned that was very soon)
Hopefully soon

Did you get a "reference Number" for the call?... The transactions were verified on the spot by the CSR and I was told that my query would be passed onto the marketing department for posting. Also told to allow 5-10 working days. ...
Is Amex trying to wriggle out of paying the points?
Had a quiet spot in my day yesterday so I finally got around to contacting AMEX about my missing points (only a couple of thousand missing). The transactions were verified on the spot by the CSR and I was told that my query would be passed onto the marketing department for posting. Also told to allow 5-10 working days. I'll be happy when they get posted and will update here when they do.
I have not received any further points. Am I one one of the only ones left?
Time for a call to Amex to get this issue resolved.

OK rang Amex about my missing 20K bonus pts....guy looked up the D ick Smith promo after confirming I had registered; then commented the promo had been extended to 30th June due to the website "error", he would raise it with marketing, gave me a reference no. and said I should hopefully have a positive response in 7 days. Shall wait and see what happens now...
I had 2 purchases at DSE of $2000, one on 24/5, and the other on 25/6, so awaiting a total of 20K bonus pts. O/N, I have been credited with 10K bonus pts, and now am waiting for the 2nd 10K bonus pts. I don't believe my phone call yesterday had anything to do with the 10K pts posting O/N.... Hopefuly, the 2nd (and final) 10K bonus pts post soon...
The very pleasant rep from AMEx rang me today to inform me my 10K bonus pts had been posted. When I pointed out that was great but what about the 2nd 10K....he said he would ring marketing and ring me back. True to form, he rang me back to say that the bonus pts would post automatically 8-10 weeks after the qualifying spend at DSE. So I guess, I should see my last 10K bonus pts by the latest 3rd September. He said he will ring me back when they do post:shock:...great customer service I have to say AMEX (I actually mean that)!!
Spoke with the same AMEX rep again (managed to get his full name and extension number, based on the reference number I got) who confirmed that I should be getting my last 10K, and couldn't understand why I hadn't todate. He will raise it with marketing again, and get back to me by the end of the week.I'm missing 10K By the end of next week, it will be 10 weeks since the promo closed on 30th June. Amex will be hearing from me!
So it would appear that Amex has taken the approach of "ask and you shall receive".
I am sure they are playing a waiting game again in the hope that people will forget and not bother chasing the bonus points.
When I called yesterday regarding my remaining 22K points, I was toild that the previous agent I had spoken with back in July should have raised a "marketing escalation" to the points manually added. She apologised for the previous agent giving me incorrect information and telling me they would be added after 10 weeks resulting from a manual sweek of all accounts in the prmotion. The agent yesterday confirmed there is no organised manual sewwp of all accounts and they are only being processed manually when the member calls as its submitted for a "marketing escalation". She said the normal time for that process is generally 7-10 business days for points to be credited. This is something that really irks me. I have rung maybe 4 times about missing DSE points over the promotion period, so would that not be enough for them to just post my missing points? I would have thought so...
On a related note, does anyone know if they can take point's away from you that you have been awarded? On one transaction I may have earned a fair whack of points. These points outweigh the DSE points so thinking I'lll just keep quiet. Thoughts?
