The agent yesterday confirmed there is no organised manual sewwp of all accounts and they are only being processed manually when the member calls as its submitted for a "marketing escalation". She said the normal time for that process is generally 7-10 business days for points to be credited.

???? Nothing is ever simple with Amex. BTW, you can now log requests via email from the secure banking portal - That's what I'll probably end up doing.

Still waiting on points here for a large purchase in the last few days of June

I thought I had received all my points, but no!

Still owed about 40,000 in fact, also missing some HotelClub points, and 10,000 from NIB

I have tried chasing up HoteClub and NIB points at least 3 times.

I am going to do one final reconciliation of my Amex account for EVERY offer but hazard a guess I am owed at least 70,000 points!

This will be fun :evil::evil:

It's not easy chasing the points. Now it's my turn to fax through the screenshot.

Amex called me last week about another promotion and I also asked about this promotion. He did not know too much about it and could not help.

Called back the next day to customer support and got a lovely chap on the phone and he tried to help but apparently it is all a mess. All the notes are on my file but it is not as simple as that.

Apparently the points are not paid by Amex MR points but rather owned by D!ck Smith who approve transactions and then they purchase the MR points from Amex who credit them to our account(s). It has nothing to do with MR points credited 8-10 after each transaction. I have an individual person responsible for chasing up Dick Sm!th and this has been happening since April.

I was told Amex cannot do anything to speed up the process and the customer service agent agreed that having to wait this long is not really good enough and I have every right to be upset.

I am owed close to ~50,000 Amex MR points and I am not letting but I feel that I have run out of patience with Amex and I really do not want to wait for them to chase up the points from D!ck Smith.

Extremely disappointing....

Emailed amex via secure portal. Known issue. Has been escalated. 7-10 days and my points should arrive.

lovestotravel: this is exactly what I did. Took me about 40 minutes to sort through all my transactions and knock up a spreadhseet showing exactly what had been spent/ owed / paid. Annoyed me at the time to have to do this myself, but in the end the points were paid out. Good luck everyone.

I also called amex yesterday and the CSR said it's known issue and just escalate the case. Didn't have to sort out the DSE transaction myself. Hopefully they will get it right this time.

It has been 7 days since I called. The bonus points not appeared yet.:(

My missing points have been posted to my account today. Thanks Amex and D!ick Smith!

Now we have to wait for the next end-of-year promotion!

D!ck Smith? Why not?

Just need more confusion for Amex customer service staff as I still haven't got my points for this promotion that ended in June....

Have been in touch with Amex via their email service- after about 4 emails over a period of 3 weeks- am back to we can confirm 3000 bonus points posted but need you to send in the dates of other transactions at dick smith for further points. All this from the "back office" which is suppose to be on top of this! Really disappointing the quality of service in regards to points reimbursement.

After a few months and about 5 emails and phone calls Amex has come through with the goods :)

All appeared this morning, and gave the balance a nice top up.

I called Amex like a week ago asking for the status of an earlier call a few weeks ago.
Turned out that CSR misunderstood me with another DSE promotion.
Then I went thru with the latter CSR the transactions that missing points.
Yesterday I got nearly all my missed points back, only 5000 short,
which I reckon is because the transactions were listed as Tandy but not DSE,
though I used to get points from same shop.

Not sure if I'm bothering to call them again for that 5K points.

I am still waiting ofr 16.5K points. I called in early Sept and 2 weeks later 12.5K were paid. But that still left me 16.5K short. So called again 3rd October and again told it will take 2 weeks to be reviewed. I'll give them until the middle of the week before I make my 5th phone call on the topic

I received a payment of points recently. Will work out when I'm back in OZ whether it is the correct amount or not....

Pretty clear that Amex's strategy on this is to make you ask...and ask again.

They cough off some of what is owed...but you have to ask again.
They never say no, but always delayed.

Must be relying on many to just give up on getting the full amount owed.
