I didn't get anything targeted, however I saw this on the coles online catalogue for 3rd May

Yes, this is a general offer (previously mentioned I believe). It opens tomorrow. One time only though per FlyBuys account.

I also got the targeted email. I think i can buy 10 x $100 coles mc and 10 x $50 coles mc as it says " up to a maximum of 10 qualifying cards of each denomination per flybuy household". Would I be able to access the catalogue offer on top of the targeted email.

I am not sure if it's stackable but the offer is only one per household according to t and c so even if it was it's only once unfortunately

A reminder for some (you know who you are) that the purpose of posting is to share the information. Posting bit and pieces is useless to most and inappropriate.

If you don't want people to know then don't share it in public. i.e. all or nothing is a good idea

Another problem with this promo is that you don't know if you qualify until weeks later when the bonus points credit

Its a pity it's not as transparent as the woolworths visa cards

Flybuys have said they have improved their systems and points are allocated within 2-3 days. They just say 4 weeks to cover any issues.

Yes agreed their system is different to Woolies, because woolies run their own promos, while coles are done by a subsidiary.

I think Coles will have more of these over time as indue are being dumped for citibank. And citibank might not even have any of these, unless there is a big demand for it. But seeing as the recent article about terrorists citibank might not do them, and just push the normal cc's.

Didn't get the offer on all four accounts in the household (not linked accounts). Two have never received a Gift Card bonus offer (both old, moderately used accounts), one had the offer in Oct 16 (25 Oct to 8 Nov 2016 - purchased 40) and Jan 17 (Tue 31 Jan to Mon 13 Feb 2017 - purchased 34), and the last one got it on Jan 17 only (0 purchased as I used the other account). The two accounts that got the offer were opened mid last year and had light use.

So Rookie mistakes and an update/confirmation of info:
1. Got the 5% off voucher online but only $50 not $55 Doh doh
2. Picked the self service and got the very nice and helpful assistant and brushed off the manager who was shouting "no gift cards"
3. Machine asks for attendant as soon as swipe Mastercard Gift.
4. Went to make partial payment and produced the voucher, the helpful did everything she could think of as the transaction would not process, before reading 5% off voucher "no gift cards".....
They have programed the machine is Victoria to not allow gift cards payment!
4.5 tried Visa1 card and not accepted.
5. Paid via Citi instead of Amex Doh doh
6. Does not show up on flybuys immediately as only shows yesterday total flybuys......
7. Purchased under $30 of items so missed 4 cent off voucher doh doh doh
8. Coles share price will now continue to DIVE!

Saw some today that expire 9/2018.

Purchased 3 x separately on the same machine to see if the 2000 pts per household rule is enforced or not

Quite a tedious process where the attendant has to swipe and verify multiple times per card.


For me personally. The only benefit is 3ppd vs 0.5 when paying visa only bills

Doubt 5% off Coles cards would work on any machines on vic when I experimented a few months ago

Also my machine malfunctioned and said note jam when I didn't use notes and felt bad for the attendant and I forgot to scan my flybuys card. Had to go to service desk to get it reapplied.


Let's see how many points I will get and how long to t will take..
It should be 5000 points for the three cards
