Also got the points the next day on the four accounts in our household. Some had activated the offer, some not, like we already know it makes no difference.
The Coles I purchased them at had their self-service checkout software updated, so based on what I've read of others who have use them, I expected it would not allow me to pay with an eGiftCard. But they worked fine. I'll have to try using FB$ next time to see if that also still works. The only issue I encountered was when I tried to split the payment, it said I had to do it at the Service Desk, which I did and it worked there. Both the self-service assistant and supervisor had no issues with me using an eGiftCard.
One thing I did notice was that I didn't need staff member intervention to approve the cards, just a prompt to place the card aside and another to write the expiry, which there is no need for. Though this was after they had scanned their logon tag to try get the split payment working for the first card I bought, so maybe that had some affect, but there were 3 separate transactions on that machine. The hardest part was juggling around the four flybuys cards to make sure I didn't double scan or miss one.
