Coles gift card offers

Scratch that. Inception definitely possible. A bit of extra work required though. Use your coles gift Mastercard to buy a coles gift card. Then use that gift card to buy another coles gift Mastercard.
So do you buy $231.30 (custom amount) Coles GC in store or $250 Coles GC and then buy another Coles Gift MC, leaving you with a balance of $18.70 in the Coles GC?

Buy a $250 coles/myer gift card. Yes, this will leave a small residual to be used at Coles/Myer at a later stage. But I think buying a $231.30 gift card will attract unnecessary attention. Especially as you will need to sign for the gift card purchased via the coles gift mastercard. I buy these coles/myer gift cards from Liquorland or similar to lessen the time spent in Coles.

I think the real gold here is that certain GCs seem to not be prohibited from purchasing other GCs due to 'invalid product mix' (or otherwise).

Will try that tonight as I'm sitting on a decent stash of cards at the moment after a few trips today :)

But won’t that leave you with an odd approx 10 % balance on the Coles MasterCard ? Can these smaller amounts across cards be combined to purchase another card ?

This was going to be the next thing I tried when I get back to Brisbane tomorrow. Thanks for confirming. Any idea what the maximum amount you can put on a coles gift card is? Would prefer to put $1,200 on each time and then buy 5x$250 Mastercards.

My local was restocked on Thursday and very well on Friday but nothing on the weekend or today. I bet they will be back to full stock on Wednesday

Have got about 20 today using the @Dr Ralph method. Get a funny look buying $2,000 worth of coles gift cards at Liquorland or Vintage Cellars each time but it is what it is. Have plenty more cached around a few stores so will be returning to plunder them tomorrow.

The balance check website looks super dodgy! Colesmastercardbalance.com.au seems to redirect to mybalancenow.com which says nothing about Coles, or the issuer, heritage bank.
