Coles gift card offers

I found only one lonely $250 card in three stores yesterday, and that was racked with the sim cards, so I bought it. Despite the ad, based on the Woolies promos, I was optimistically expecting 2000pts per $100. D'oh. Not sure why this would be popular. $25/$35 for 10k FB ain't a great deal but not terrible either. Plus it's limited by account too so I was surprised by the empty racks.

There were a ton of $250 cards in my Coles, but only 3 x $100 so I snapped them up (I don't see the point of getting the $250 when the bonus is the same?)

Open the cabinet and have a look inside. There are often boxes of additional stock in there. Just did exactly that and found heaps of $100 cards at my local store.

This is the same offer that was pulled last month the day before it was due to start due to people taking them off the shelves to hide right? I wonder what they might be doing to stop these issues this time.

EDIT: I see you need to scan the flybuys card to get the discount now and limited to 5 per account per day. May need to create some burner accounts for next time one of these offers hits the QLD shelves.

I've checked 4 stores today. 0 x $250 cards available.

I’m not in NSW but I will be interested to hear your reports come Wednesday. Maybe they are keeping all the stock at the service desk as has happened in some stores previously?

Unlear. Especially as I have seen 100's of the $100 cards which are also part of this promotion.

I've now checked 9 stores. Not 1 x $250 card to be found in any store. Something's going on with this offer. Could be they've all be hidden? Unlikely given the number of stores that I've visited. Could be that staff have removed them until Wednesday. Unlikely as well I think as why leave the $100 cards in place and Coles staff aren't compentent enough to have uniformly removed them in all 9 stores that I visitied before the offer starts on Wednesday. Could be there's no stock yet and a delivery is expected before Wednesday? Also unlikely I think. I think this is a bust already.

They hid the behind desk before release in Victoria and in the cupboards on last VIC offer until the day of release.... and during the promo

I'll be there on Wednesday morning looking for them :)

I need at least 50 this time around.
