Complete run around - contact help number by phone, then email details, nothing happens, ring again, email details again, nothing happens set and repeat. Our last communication two months ago has us in a 10 week hold for the investigation to take place. Two weeks to go on that, just wondering which govt authority to lodge a complaint with FSO or other when, as I suspect, Coles/Heritage are hoping we have forgotten about it.

We had a plan for future purchases to use the card same day of purchase but if it can be hacked within an hour - that’s less than the travel time to home from our nearest Coles - it’s just not worth the risk for us.

One hour.... damn. Bad luck. I use them within 1h to 24h depending how organised. Will try to reduce that next round. Feels like getting your money back is an absolute nightmare.

Is there any consensus on whether digital gift cards from giftcards com.au are more or less likely to be hacked than physical ones?
I have never had an issue with digital but I don't have much data to go on.

OMG! We’re having the same experience and we’re out more than $150. They actually sent us 2 replacement cards which we received today. But both were empty, as in they hadn’t been activated… This is not a joke. When we called customer service, we spoke with someone who could barely understand us, and she told us that we’d have to start the process from scratch. What!?! Would a complaint to the Ombudsman help?

Has anyone noticed their coles mastercard gift card can't be used to pay ATO or water bills at the moment? I noticed only the last two days.

Edit: My bad, bought the cards overseas, tried to check balance with the link provided but apparently this brick the cards. Now all of them are onhold and can't be used. tried to call the number at the back of the card as well as gifcards.com.au. So far, got put on hold and then got hanged up.. Email them too and got redirected to the ultimate gift cards team.. This is arghhh.

Yes. Coles only ever shows the images of 5-6 cards when they run promotions on the entire Ultimate range but the other cards have always been included. Also, unlike with the bonus points or bonus value offers, you will easily be able to tell if the card is discounted or not based on the price displayed at checkout.
