Churn baby churn, they are even happy to churn _within_ their own business

Of course they are happy for people to churn, largely because they know the churners are by far in the minority, most people accept these increases blindly.

I concur with these experiences.

Last year my renewal advise showed a small decrease in premium.

I checked online and the same policy was offered as a new customer at a further $10 less. I did check elsewhere but they were still the cheapest (Budget direct came closest but still were $20 more - I did call for a match.)

So I simply called Coles Insurance, and advised them of the cheaper premium online, they then arranged renewal at that price.
