Made my way to the south end of the stadium and the football department

Best view of the interior of the stadimu I could get. Work being done to the south end has dropped capacity to about 85 000, when finished, back over 100 000.

Change to the south end will make it look like the team is running out of a uterus! LSU had their measure early in the season :)

I love the detail in your trip report!

Walked up to the World Trade Center
America's Response Monument in Liberty Park overlooks the site

Continued on, looking back at Washington Square Arch

IMG_0374__1573878254_106.68.233.146.jpg

Up to the Flat Iron Building, unfortunately scaffolding on the building so not great for a photo

IMG_0375__1573878350_106.68.233.146.jpg

To the hotel for a bit of a rest

IMG_0379__1573878447_106.68.233.146.jpg

There's a Ruby Tuesday restaurant on the next block and that was where I was heading to get something to eat. I know there's a lot better places to eat, however I'm a convenience eater and it was close and looked okay on Trip Advisor. Was full downstairs, so sent up 3 floors where I was told I could sit at the bar. Not for me, so took off on a half-hearted search for somewhere to eat. Ended up going the easy route of a sidewalk pizza place for a coupe of slices and a drink for $5.

Wandered a bit, taking a few snaps, then back tot he hotel for the night.

Up quite early, had been a bit of rain when I was walking around the night before and a lot more during the night. Had accumulated quite a bit of coin so up to the Walgreens to start getting rid of it.
Bit of TV in the room and out about 8.00am to head out to Queens. Had the misfortune to sit next to some bloke going through his ear cleaning routine, complete with the end of a pen lid digging quite deeply into his lid.

Citi Field, home of the Mets

The Mets former stadium, Shea Stadium, was situated in the current stadium's car park. There are markers there showing the location of the diamond. There was a bit of activity in the carpark with the lights being upgraded and a tractor moving the poles into place. Off course they were placing these poles exactly where I wanted to be. So a bit of a wait, but eventually got what I wanted.

Turned back, time for something sweet. Pretty ordinary, seemed like stale bread with a bit of strawberry jam.

Time for something to eat

IMG_0519__1574117363_106.68.233.146.jpg

Pork and chive dumplings, less than $2 for 5 of them. Inside was packed so sat myself on a bench on the sidewalk. Ambiance was somewhat ruined when a cook came out and brought one up from deep inside his lungs and deposited it not all that far from me.

IMG_0518__1574117251_106.68.233.146.jpg
