1.5qff per $1 on Amex
0.5qff per $1 on vi/mc

Essentially 2 CBA reward points = 1 qff
So when you see the T&C using the term cba reward point, divide it in 2 to find qff cap.

beautiful

thanks everyone

looks like ill be using my amex when I can and using my CITIBANK visa for other purchases which gives me $1 for 1 QFF point.

I must admit, the 0.5QFF for $1 on hte platinum card is absolutely disgusting and insulting

Almost as insulting as the way the CBA tried to hide the fact that they were halving QFF earn rates on visa/mastercard and applying stupidly low caps by burying the facts it in a mass of confusing and hard to find detail. I believe they got a Shonky Award from Choice for this particular stunt. It's no wonder even CBA employees can't explain it.

However, in summary:

- use your CBA plat amex until you reach a $40,000 spend (=60,000 QFF points) then put it away until 1 January next year and use a different amex card

- don't use the CBA plat mcard at all - there are much better options for QFF earn on a visa or mastercard such as the Everyday Rewards plat card and Citi citibusiness gold and platinum card all of which have at least $1 = 1 QFF point earn and either higher caps or no cap at all.

Concur -- that's my plan. And when I've had the card 11 months I'm cancelling it. In fact I'd cancel it now if there was a pro-rata refund of the fee.
