Ok checked in here.. 46E for JQ35..

I've got two boarding passes too, can the qantas paper printout ones be used? Or should I get new ones in the J lounge in the morning?

Looks like I miss out on the party zone again, all you guys living it up back in 44/45 while I'm slumming it in 27 ;)

So you have a "paper" version of the JQ boarding pass as a combined QF booking? Nice.

BP will have to be replaced. I would probably get it reprinted at the lounge and get a D sticker attached, but JQ probably won't accept the BP for boarding, they will require you to swap it for a JQ one.

Also, I wonder if the QF kiosk would reprint it.

Not had it before.. I am thinking a re-print at the J lounge in the morning and a D sticker attached. They didn't accept it last time and gave me a JQ one.

I'm almost tempted to try the paper one.

I booked qf501 and jq35 on the qantas website and received two boarding passes when I did OLCI this morning, which I wasn't expecting. In the past I've just got the "this is not a boarding pass, please see service desk etc...".

I'm going to just try for a D sticker in the bne qp rather than a reprint. Going from past experience I'll need to get another boarding pass at the gate anyway.

I was unable to select a seat in the party zone.

In fact, I was unable to select a seat at all.

The online check-in worked fine but when I went to the seat selection page it had every single seat on the aircraft marked as occupied except for the one it had already assigned to me (25A).

I would prob reprint at kiosk at the least. Do the ones outside the qp still issue cardboard ones or is it thermal paper only everywhere .

You would have been sat next to me, as that’s where I was allocated…

Looks like I miss out on the party zone again, all you guys living it up back in 44/45 while I'm slumming it in 27 ;)

…but as I’m a late scratching, you’ll hear my name being paged and anyone is free to seat 46D!

The powers that be decided that my travel was "not essential" and thus I don’t have permission to leave QLD. I am gutted, especially as my flights are non-refundable and the one that is will net me $29. Needless to say, when Monday morning arrives they’re going to be getting a piece of my mind, I expect to use every word under the sun and fully expect never to be allowed to leave this "prison" again. For 2 years at least.

Not happy.

P.S. Not that I’d ever suggest such a thing, but does anyone want to fly J to BNE on Sunday?

.....if slumming it is in row 27 what does that make row 54!

As far as the powers that be go, what's the diff between the northern most destination on two MR's you did vs this trip?

Ahh that's a bugger Sam... Sorry you can't make it..

I'm keen to do a little bit of work during the flight so I've used points to upgrade myself to the forward cabin. 25J may be free now, I can't tell any more.
So that's why it went from U2 to U1 this monring ... it's back up to U2.

25J is showing as blocked (

) - so is 25K.

Can't really justify the 8K for myself on this occasion ...

Any popular opinions on how to get from MEL Airport to city?

The budget conscious / easy-way-out group so far is leaning on Skybus (especially for the out-of-towners with a return ticket prepaid online).

I'm skybus'ing it personally. Not game to drive after a Flounge!!

I have an early tee time tomorrow, so I will be free for dinner / drinks in the city tomorrow evening if any of you are still going by that stage.

Did anyone get around to booking a group table somewhere?
