Random route I know but just wondering if anyone has any other ideas for this route in J.

I can get up into Germany on QR for $1440 per person one way.

Other locations and messing about with TK via IST doesn't do any better and ATH/MXP with EY is just adding to the confusion.

Anyway - my only thought is that there might be a companion seniors fare from Manila that I can't see.

Anyone know any different?

No, but it's more than I would want to pay. How's that going to affect your FF miles?

MNL-DOH-TXL for 1380 USD in Business Class is a good deal.

You might want to consider the below, if you have some miles and can get availability.

SIN-FRA:
63,000 QFF + $158.20 SGD (Premium Economy on QANTAS)
85,000 QFF + $158.20 SGD (Business on QANTAS)
46,750 Krisflyer + $219.50 SGD (Business on Singapore)

MNL-SIN-FRA:
46,750 Krisflyer + 189 USD (Business on Singapore)

FRA to Berlin on a ICE Train should be quick enough.

Looks like a great deal to me considering qantas wanted $1300 to fly ADL-BNE in J

No, but it's more than I would want to pay.

How much would you be willing to pay for business class to fly half way around the world?

NB, Qatar Airways seems to be the only major airline that services both Manila and Berlin.

Air Berlin will fly you oneway from Bangkok to Berlin, for ~772 EUR (~1050 AUD) in Business Class. Shame that it's not part of oneworld until 2012. Finnair and S7 frequent flyer programmes already have agreements though.

Thanks guys. I looked at Air Berlin and that certainly a good option.

With USAirways now back selling miles I will look in that direction.

While I am here this is great deal from MNL.

Go to Expedia and multi-stop.
MNL-HKG-SFO on one day then SFO-YVR on the second day.
Chose business.

This should price out at about $1300 and includes the transpac on an SQ 77W. You may need to fiddle with the departure date but I used 19 and 20 May.

Not a bad fare. Basis: C.

In BMI, should earn 10k miles on the SQ leg, and another 1600 on the NZ SFO-YVR leg. ~1.1c/RDM.

NB, it would also probably earn hardly anything in Singapore's PPS Club.
