Cheers for that! Besides the 'stay four times in six months to extend status' are there any other unpublished benefits? Do you get extra bonus points on your first few stays for instance? Cheers

As soon as the status shows Gold / Plat, yes, you start getting the bonus

I understand once my account says Diamond I will get the Diamond 50% bonus I'm asking if you get any promos on top of that because Virgin made me Diamond like 'double points on your first stay' kind of thing...

No nothing like that, unless Virgin or Hilton are offering a special promo. At the moment if you've selected to double dip with points plus miles, you'll get 2000 Velocity Points per night if its a standard stay.

That's per "Stay", not per "Night" - stay 1, 2 or 5 consecutive nights at a property and get 2000 points. (This double points finishes at the end of the month and reverts to 1000.)

Yes, that was my understanding as well. Up to 2 stays and 3 nights in the first month of my "status jump". Now to add a stay & 1 or 2 nights at HSW for the Aviation weekend.

This status match has been well worth it for me. I grumble every now and again but have to admit the Hilton Diamond offering is pretty good and pretty consistent.

Agreed. I was platinum ambassador with IHG and though I will retain it (it's amazingly easy if you put your mind to it) Hiltons are now always my first choice and well on track to retain diamond is year. The free breakfast and Internet alone mean i will choose a Hilton if the prices are even vaguely competitive.

just to check for sure before I end up missing out. how many stays or nights are needed to extend it?

Currently have 2 stays/10 nights, think I have a month or so left of the 6 months

With Hilton Honors Diamond it is at least 4 eligible stays in 6 months.

I am wondering though, If you requalify for platinum again does virgin offer you another 6 months of hilton diamond again?
