My daughter wants me to 'find' 230SC's before the end of November so she can have PG. Even if I wanted to do so I'm not sure how I could actually fit in another 230Sc's worth of flying this month :!: :shock:

Best to ask markis10 to find you a suitable JASA!

And perhaps you could suggest she use her points for the JASA, as she’ll benefit with Gold status afterwards?

Has anyone nominated their partner for Gold on the first day of a new year as far as anniversary date goes for you, when they had a different anniversary?

SWMBO Had an expiry date of July 31 on her Partner QP account.

When I first achieved PG one August; she simply received a nice shiny gold Card with expiry date of October 31, some 15 months away - I did not have the option to nominate (probably due to the partner QP).

Since then her dates have matched mine. Next year I doubt I'll earn PG for her, but she should be getting SG in her own right (with travel Feb-June); it will be interesting to see what happens to her expiry dates with such an eventuality.

Thanks Serfty, my partners anniversary date was showing as two years away when the PG went through but its corrected itself now :shock:, interestingly she is still showing has having SCs that count towards requal from Sept despite being a Oct anniversary now! Since they are almost half of the required amount to renew SG its very cool !

Just to follow up on this. There was some debate around the uplift and timing of when you would need 2400 SCs.

I think I commented that I thought the 2100 level for PG only would remain static - but was shouted down that that would change in May.

Having looked at my status summary for some time it still says:

Now to me this reinforces that for PG only you will for the foreseeable future be able to get this at 2100 - it is just from May onwards you can get more free stuff.

Admittedly they could change the goal posts but I dont thnk that is happening in May...

A QF agent called me a while ago and confirmed that 2,100-SC requirement will only be until 3 May. After that day, one will need 2,400 SCs for PG.

However, my status summary is similar to yours, i.e. I need so-and-so to get 2,100 SCs by 30 June 2011 for PG. This is a misleading statement in my opinion, taking into account the advice from the QF agent.

Well given that six months in advance of May 3 is passed if they change this now they havent given sufficient warning.

simple enough, ill get PG in march some time, what i want to know is, after that occurs do I have the potential to ask for the 50k miles when i hit 2400?

AFAIK you’d be able to ask for the 50k miles so long as you didn’t ask for PG when you hit 2100, as then you’d have used up the equivalent of what you’d get at 2400SC.
