Indeed, I get the impression Aussies are too busy emptying supermarket shelves to go on holiday!
cheers skip

Not at the supermarkets I frequent. And at Costco, when don't shoppers here have full trollies?

I think it is more that hand sanitiser has a run on.

Plus my 800 + 200 bots Champs + 500 bullocks I have in a feedlot + a niece with 100K hectare wheat crop in WA and we are all eating steaks sangers washed down with red till the cows come home - I think we are all set.

I will secure the missing - onions and tomato sauce. And faithfully will devote myself to this cooperative - let's lock it in.

If it's the good ply stuff, our people can talk. 🤣

I admire someone who really knows their needs. I salute you! And yes, the stocks I hold will not just meet, but exceed your desires and expectations. My product is superb. And I will even, as a bonus to celebrate our new-found partnership, throw in a once-in-a-lifetime bonus. For every dozen rolls I will include, AT NO EXTRA COST, a tin of Aldi tuna.

Hmmmm, Denali, I note your reply to my post was an emoticon that portrays laughter. I take that as a confirmation of your interest in what could be a superbly mutually-beneficial arrangement. Perhaps, given the gravity of these times, my people should talk to your people and get some exclusivity agreement in place for such potential future interchanges?
But juddles what about helping your Qld buddies. Clearly need to organize a Brisbane dinner to discuss.

I love to travel, I like your simple and deliciously-naive thinking. It provokes tears in me now remembering the innocence of what is now a bygone era of decency. But unless you have, as Denali has, a booty of grog, I simply will not give you the time of day...

This is the sheer reality in these doomsday times.

No hard feelings, but this is now survival!

With no warning, the end is nigh......of your toilet paper!

Evidently we now exist in a time when toilet paper has become a luxury item. For those of us living in the Western part of the world, a shortage of Toilet Paper probably sounds like a disaster.

But have no fear! Here it is, for your Guide to Toilet Paper Alternatives to survive the Covid 19 Apocolypse see Sustainable Alternatives to Toilet Paper

Scratch a human and beneath the veneer of civilisation there is a mean killer with a club, bent on survival

Scratch a virus, and beneath the veneer of labeling as a disease, it is yet just another organism trying to survive...

lovetravellingoz, I refuse to click on that link. As I am old enough to have realised that some things seen can never be un-seen :)

Husband forced me to buy Glen20 so he can hose down the piano and room, as well as the wipes he's been using, when he goes for piano lessons.

The teacher encourages him because, "those kids are germ carrying petri dishes".

I went to Coles in the city today to buy Glen 20 because it is advertised on 1/2 price special (I nearly always wait and do without rather than buy full price, and then buy enough until I anticipate the next special price will come around) and the shelves were bare, all sizes, all scents.

Edit: BTW If anyone uses it, it is usually $8 for the large can, $4 at Coles today. For how long I'm not sure. Not all stores are sold out.

Woolworths is putting in a hard limit of 4 packs of toilet paper from tomorrow (4th) [limit applies to the total number of packs of any brand / pack size across the Toilet Paper range] and are expecting shortages across the following categories

That is half the supermarket. This is ridiculous if people are going to panic that much. But after juddles so rattled my faith in human beings to help each other will be going shopping after work tomorrow night.

One advantage of this thread was I learned Who gives a cough has premium loo paper
And now ordered to try 😊
The bamboo I hope. The one made from recycled material is a bit rougher. And at least with Who Gives a cough you can stock up without looking like you are hoarding toilet paper...48 to a box

The lemming like behaviour of panic buying of toilet paper of so many Australians has been both surprising and disappointing.

People are people.

As far as I have seen, no different to other countries. A friend from Singapore reported shelves were stripped there a day after COVID reality hit them (way worse than here - everything non-perishable).

Other countries too - just look at the images from the USA.

Food I understand.

Sanitises I understand.

It is common sense to keep a well stocked household at present, and to build up your stocks if you do not normally keep much of a buffer.

However massive buying of toilet paper over a 1/2 day frenzy is just stupid, and moreso when in Australia Covid 19 is not even really here yet. Absolute panic.
