Indeed, I get the impression Aussies are too busy emptying supermarket shelves to go on holiday!
cheers skip

Not at the supermarkets I frequent. And at Costco, when don't shoppers here have full trollies?

I think it is more that hand sanitiser has a run on.

Hubbys fav sugar free icecream have new flavors and Coles doesnt stock them... cant believe Im paying to have them delivered to our house.

On the plus side, I said to the local store that does stock them, please sell/deliver to me and top up my order with $50 in other items to make it worth their while.

I went to Woolies at about 12 noon today. Went to the ice cream aisle as hubby's favourite almond Magnums were on special.
An employee was packing some items into the glass cabinet so I stood back my distance and waited. I glanced sideways and would you believe it! about 10 packs of 8 roll Quilton toilet paper was on the shelf. You could have knocked me over with a feather. The first time I have seen toilet paper on the shelf since the beginning of March.

Woohoo winning, I got toilet paper and hubby got Magnums!

I also like this (particularly the mint) I don't understand how they can justify the price though? Nearly $12 for less than half a litre

If you'd posted that two months ago people would have thought you were stark staring raving mad and now everyone is wow - she got toilet paper - go her!! I had to go and raid the business I live behind last night because I ran out of toilet paper but don't want to do that for long so will try and order some online and see how I go

You can get these to Henley Beach as an example - some aren't available but a few are!

Anyone in a metro area still seeing toilet paper shortages at their local supermarket? In the last fortnight or so the Coles and Woolworths I've been to are chock-full of TP and the excitement/madness/brutality we saw earlier has gone.

Still no TP on shelves in my area and further out - I'm beginning to wonder if SA has been forgotten in the big push to ensure stores are well stocked. I ask when they'll have deliveries, the short answer "We don't know." Seeing some of you posting isles full is gobsmacking - currently, our stores are filling those empty shelves with Coke so that it doesn't look empty . . .

I went shopping this morning in Willetton, a suburb about 10 Km south of the Perth CBD. Woolworths had their toilet paper shelves about half full. Two days before it was only about a quarter full but Coles was stocked to capacity. In Woolies, the frozen berries seemed to be light on, probably about 30% full. Meat, veggies, eggs and fruit all seemed to be close to normal. The fruit and veg shop also seemed to be fully stocked. Pasta Sauce was there but in reduced amounts.

The only item that seemed to be really short was Flour. In Woolies there were a dozen or so bags of some very expensive artisan type. There were also a couple of 10 KG bags of 'Bread Machine' flour. Coles has had some 'normal' flour on occasions lately.

Foodland just had empty shelves. I think you need to ask for it.

I had reasonable supply too although I had to get some for my family who were caught short.

Did buy an extra packet when this started but gave it to mum in law. No idea if shes used it but she hasnt asked for any refills for it (we've been doing her shopping).

Hubby said the Diggers Isopropyl is back in stock at our local Bunnings, hopefully they'll still have some by Friday when he does his post office run.

TP supplies seemed to have stabilised in the Melbourne CBD a couple of weeks ago. But not sure about now/today as I have not visited a supermarket for 2 weeks.

Happenstance-ily we bought quite a few TP packets the week before panic buying started because woollies were running a great special of Kneenex double length rolls for only $8. We normally only buy non-perishables on 1/2 price special and buy for a few months. If we run out in the meantime we try to do without or do very limited purchases until the next 1/2 price special.
