hopefully getting covid in australia is not inevitable either!
I think it might be!

Just back in Victoria, visiting from Singapore, this time just a short visit for Easter, and first visit in the new-norm environment, did a few things like Moulin Rouge, tenpin bowling, a few train trips (I was masked, most weren't) .. ... you know where this is heading right?

But for a holiday where you have plans and onward bookings, you can potentially be successful in minimising the risks and still have a great time.
Agreed, though the anxiety when I was travelling last month was much more about testing positive for my return to Australia, than it was about contracting COVID.

Agree! But as it turns out… it doesn’t have to be the case. And that really was just taking the simplest measures, nothing extreme.
Likewise. I simply wore a mask when I felt it was the right thing to do, and occasionally found a quiet table in the corner when it was possible. But I also spent a fair amount of time in pubs and full restaurants enjoying drinking and eating to the fullest.
