Congrats. I trust you'll stick around and share your knowledge still. I think admin summed it up nicely in his posting so I wont be able to top that and just endorse that post.
Hopefully you'll let us know what your fututre plans bring. :?:
Perhaps you'd like to improve (instead of "enhance") another carrier's FF program now.....
Can you still leave active your Velocity Account Name: CrazyDave98 and Password: 1234 ? I've been using that Velocity account for years redeeming so many flights. It's been a real help. Could you just top it back up over the million point mark before you leave.
Cheers
The Brow.
Thanks CrazyDave98 for your contributions here over the last six years - and for sticking around despite some pretty 'rough' threads!!
I can be both a vocal supporter and critic of DJ at times, but definitely think the airline has "grown up" a lot during that time. I know a lot of this improvement has been driven by you, and the airline is better for it.
Have a great time at the new organisation (whoever that may be). They are lucky to have you as an employee.
Thanks for your great contributions, CrazyDave98. DJ's loss will no doubt be someone else's gain, and since I am still (only just) in the QF camp, I can only hope it's them.
In the short time I have been browsing this forum it is obvious to me that you are an asset to Virgin Australia, and have always gone above and beyond what would be expected of any staff member. What you have achieved over your time on this forum is no small accomplishment and you should be commended for that. I truly wish you all the best in your future endeavors and hope to still see you on the forum.
Its going to be sad to see you go, you've help everybody here not just with Virgin problems, but your always giving us insight into how the aviation industry works. It's always nice for a explaination into policy and procedures rather than the simple "No, can't be done" approach.
My last flight on Virgin, I was speaking to to CSM who had been at DJ since 2001. I had a good conversation about how far they have came, from the days of that Tin Shed at Sydney, to the moden new Melbourne Lounge. I'm sure those changes wouldn't have happened without you.
Hope you stay around to share your insight into the aviation industry.
Thanks for all your time here on the Australian Frequent Flyer!
PS. Which Virgin Australia lounge will we be holding your goodbye party?
Liam.
Sounds like he's dead. Calm down people, Dave is still with us
This is a great thing - Dave gets to share his experience with a new employer (new adventure) and we can have him here without him being restricted as to what he can/can't say...
Smiles from me Dave - and .... wine: for everybody!!!!!
Another who has appreciated your input into this forum. You are the standard by which industry reps will be judged.
All the very best for the future and may your wishes be fulfilled.
I love your sense of humour crazydave98. For those that don't know what I mean, have a closer look at his avatar...it is a classic. Best of luck in your future role!
Just wanted to add my thanks to the long list of posts already made. It was always good to hear the facts and rationale directly from an informed source. Best wishes for your future work endeavours and I hope you stay around AFF.
Thanks CrazyDave98 for your contribution to this thread. As others have said, your input as the official company rep has set a very high bar for others. Best of luck for your new adventure!
Thanks for everything you have contributed to AFF itself and to the many individuals that have had resolution of issues from your intervention. At a personal level it was great to have someone that was always appropriately responsive and who would address issues in the manner intended when they were presented. I look forward to your continued involvement in the forum as you still have a lot to offer.
I'd like to echo the other praises Dave. You offered me help when I was having a gripe (I never did proceed as the $ amount was negligible), which was very much appreciated and helped concrete the DJ attitude in my mind.
