Good luck crazydave98, thank you for all your contributions.

Thanks for your input as an official company rep and I hope that you continue contributing to this forum as an individual.

Are you able to say where your future beholds?

Even if you can't, all the best for whatever you are going to do!

We will all miss your insights... has been great having you around - all the best and GOOD LUCK for your next adventure!!

Its sad to see you go Dave :(, you really were a credit to Virgin Australia going well above and beyond what is expected of any employee of a company :)

I wish you all the best with your future plans and hope you decide to stick around AFF ;)

Bye Dave (dibs on your stapler)

Let me guess, is that you Dean?

Hi Dave,

There is little more new to be said 5 pages into this thread, but heere's my thoughts.

I have followed the Virgin threads on and off over the years, even daring to fly with them early on. However until earlier this year, I was very much a one eyed Qantas flyer. What changed, yes there was the QF enhancements, but this forum is full of people complaining about the QF enhancements whilst continuing to fly QF. Then there was the ongoing rectification of many a posters complaints / problems (where warranted). There were the problems of PE and Rogue aircraft, which you pushed heavily behind the scenes at Virgin to rectify. There was the "YOUR GOLD" debarcle, did you run off and hide, no, you fronted up here and copped the flack. All this showing me that Virgin were prepared to listen, learn, fix and improve, rather than enhance.

What most people aren't likely to know is that you did all this AFF in your own time, because you still had your actual job at Virgin to do. What you did, was introduce Virgin to the importance of social media, forum's and especially AFF, and look we now have two other Virgin reps on board, and they have very big shoes to fill.

So anyway Dave good luck on your move, thankyou from me for sharing your knowledge and ideas.

Reggie

Thanks heaps Dave. If you need a Reference for a social media marketing gig i -- and probably 2/3 of the members here -- would happily write you one. Your efforts here down the years should be a case study in how to do it well.

Thanks crazydave98 for your valuable contributions to AFF, both as a company rep and as (hopefully continuing) an individual. Best of luck in your new venture.

Chow.

Your posts were more in depth and addressed the point rasied than I'd guess we'll be getting in the future, which will be the vanilla company line I'm guessing based on what I've seen so far.

Stay around, you have plenty to contribute (and without big brother watching)

Matt

I would like to join the other AFF Members to wish you all the best for your future. I have appreciated your input and like many others here we will miss you.

Stay in touch.

Likewise, thankyou for your wonder contribution to the community. You've helped me on a couple occasions - only little things but this goes a long way to creating a positive impression of the company.

Based on the positive views of us AFFers it may be that CD98 is actually starting up his own airline - a new world, lcc based on friendliness in the skies ;)

Crazy Air

can i be FF member 001? :)

Also happy to be on the board!

Misha is in charge of HR.

This is going to sound stupid (And cause crazydave, to scream They wish!) But we might just have enough tallent on AFF to start out own airline, we way we want it! :p

Now.. back to the post: good luck Dave!... boss..?

Please say you are replacing Alan Joyce....If not I really hope your not going to QF

Probably Tiger to start a frequent flyer program, where the elite are classed as those who have done two round trips, platinum for three, and P1 for those that have done three or more and Tiger no longer operate to their home city :).

Hey CrazyDave98, thanks for all your contributions here and all the help you have given in specific cases, mine included! All the best for the future and do keep posting here (and as someone who has found AFF from FT, dare I suggest positing on FT too...)

Thanks for all your contributions and may your next adventure be awesome......

I am so looking forward to the improvements to Velocity .....

Now as we seem to be deciding on Dave's career choices for him, I'm up for a punt and given some of Liams criticism of an airline with 1 x A330, I'm mindly bemused and amused by him wanting to run it .

Let's just say I reckon CrazyDave is making a Strategic change in life.
