Another close game. With a couple of the Aussie bowlers going for 10+ an over, anything is possible. Current run-rate ahead of required run-rate

Nah 5 down it will take a miracle. Still interesting to see if they can get close (say within 100) and whether the record for most sixes in a ODI will be broken.

McMillan's 100 off 67 balls

Total of 24 sixes so far today. Only 3 more for the record.

gillespie's cameo comes to an end

7 balls last men in, 8 to win

mccullum retains the strike, 7 to win

And another loss. Interesting that in one year Australia has failed to defend the 3 highest successful run chases in ODI history.

Make the 4 highest successful run chases.

Re: World Cup victory

As an Aussie cricketing batting and bowling hero couldabeen, I'm rather frustrated I'm here and it is all about to be happening in the West Indies. I've put up a team in the Cricket Australia World Cup competition as a bit of fun, and if any other cricket expert (??), and I think there are a few here, is interested in doing the same I'd be happy to be part of a league.

The website is at Cricket World Cup Dream Team Once you've enrolled if you want to join a league you can join me at 739617. How to do that will be obvious when you enrol. If no one joins me than the mighty turtles will win as so far I'm the only entry in the league

You have until 0115 AEST on Wednesday March 14th to enter.

Cheers

Michael

I know it is a little late for the first game but I have created a tipping competition for the 2007 Cricket World Cup on footytips website.

Anyone interested in joining is welcome to join in at any time. Entry for both the website and competition is free. Joining is very straight forward once you get to the footytips website.

The competition name is "AFF 2007 Cricket World Cup" and the password is "frequentflyer". Good luck to anyone who joins. I think there are prizes for the overall winner of the tipping contest and also random prizes just for entering.

I have tried joining the competition a few times now and I keep getting the error message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

Works for me. What version of IE are you using?
