If we add the two Clark(e) scores together, they may well make a ton! But probably still not as many runs as Anderson has beside his name. Stuart Clark is having some fun. A 50 partnership for the 9th wicket (so far).

Clark yorked Flintoff for 39 runs in 34 mins of 23 balls; 3 Fours and 2 Sixes.

Anderson's average is up to 141.

And Harmison is the third century maker in the series. Freddy could still make the ton as well. Hoggard only 2 runs shy, but not currently bowling.

Well they have now declared at 9/602. So Freddy didn't quite make his ton so I bet he is happy about that but disappointed he didn;t get a chance to finish off the Aussies and bag a 5-for.

Oooh, Ahhh, Glen McGrath.

Now on a hat trick after removing both openers in consecutive balls.

At least it wasnt a hat-trick. Looks like Freddie is going to have to score a double ton - unlikely at this juncture I think...

well England end the day at 3/53 , just 349 needed to avoid the follow-on  .

Thank god we get some respite  Looks like a morning in front of teh TV when I get home tomorrow ;)

Can't think of a better cure for jetlag

A slightly unpopular option though - might need to spend time with mrsimongr

Ooops. Gilly goes for a duck. Now its 6/467. Two quick wickets to Hoggard. Now its up to Clarke and Warnie to get past the magic 500.
If Ponting has waited a few minutes before declaring at 9/602 Gilchrist would have been the only Aussie under doubloe figures.

Likewise Harmison taken off. Nervous nineties indeed
Drama queens. Only Harmison and Anderson get a hundred for England!

The auld Dart's all out for 157.

Aussies did not enforce the follow - on ... I wonder if that's due to the Greencap's Salary being tied to the Australian Cricket Board's revenue (Can't have the test over in Three Days .. can we ;) )
