I recently joined CrownBet to take advantage of their 'free' 2,500 CrownBet points that would apparently be automatically transferred to my Velocity account. I have now received my CrownBet card and my account shows the 2,500 points, but if I attempt to transfer the points to Velocity, a message is displayed saying that I must deposit $20 (minimum) into the account. When this offer was advertised, it stipulated that you had to do NOTHING but join. Have I missed something in the fine print?

Too many people took advantage of the great deal and I suspect the fine print was changed. If not, you can fight them for the points but it's quite a low number. I have previously fought with Storage King over 20k points... with a good outcome but it took time.

It does now say in the T&C's that you need to deposit $20 to be eligible.

When did you sign up?

I signed up 20 June, and at that time the 'chat' said that the points would be moved across automatically. I received my first 'statement' email from them 2 August with the points in the account, so I tried to transfer manually then.

I wouldn't count on the points being moved across automatically

Have to agree. I am unaware of anything that would have made them transfer automatically
.
As for redemptions from CrownBet, they are always subject to change.
