It depends on the cruise you are looking at. We've found VTG no cheaper than booking directly with the cruise line in AU for the ones we've looked at recently. It seems Mediterranean and US cruises are much better value though. Have used Smart Cruiser once in the past and they were fine.

Free cruise - sounds fantastic! HAL once offered us 75% refund to cancel 3 days before sailing and a free cruise later on but we couldn't accept - the cruise was from Sydney to Singapore and was only part of a big trip we had organised.

In case anyone is interested, most of my review of my recent Dawn Princess cruise has appeared now on cruise critic dot com.

I'm being charitable and thinking the rest was edited for length, not censored I was mildly critical about the entertainment, the lifts and the soft drink package, none of which made it online. Also I pointed out that that site's "official review" of the ship is wrong when it says that gratuities are automatically added to your account - they aren't. You can ask for them to be added though.
