Cruising choices with an active Pandemic

Buy a Scrubba bag and take with you. Problem solved!
Nah - not worth the effort. I usually hand wash the 'smalls' (or larges in my case) and hide them when the room is to be done and then just get anything else laundered.

I only do two tops at a time so they can hang in the shower with undies. I don’t want the cabin taken over! Pegs on the backs of balcony chairs are useful if the fit. Back to the bathroom if not a balcony cabin! I have never found magnetic hooks strong enough for hangars.
And I don 't put things on the balcony (SIL lost a t shirt once - blown off).

I agree, Even though we have always had free laundry on Silversea - I still hand wash my "smalls" and leave it in the bathroom overnight to dry !

all right - now have order Scrubba bag and hooks and rang hotel to ask if ok to have Amazon delivery - I should be packing

Thanks everyone - I can't wait to get on that cruise and have my first coughtail
That's my girl! Have a favourite of mine. Gin Gimlet. Lots of Vit C 😉

Cruise ship cabin designers go to great lengths to eliminate places to attach a clothes line.
I always pack a few bits of wire , pegs and little hooks to ensure my daily laundry can function.
Say what now? I thought the whole idea of holidays was to not have to do laundry...... just pay someone else to do it, or throw them out and buy new! :D

Funny how we do this. We blow thousands over a holiday then angst about 100 bucks spent for a laundry service. I dunno!

After spending thousands on the flights or the cruise, I definitely get really stingy when I’m on holiday. I often just self cater in my hotel room ( I ❤️ Carrefours in France) and I’ll definitely be washing my gear in the sink or now, the Scubba bag when I’m in Europe and on my cruise.

Most of my clothes are cold wash and no tumble drying, so I give even the free laundry bag a miss.
Husband seems to not like wrinkle free stuff. I do not iron my clothes. If I buy one by mistake that needs ironing it's off to the Salvos.

Day before my cruise and the emails asking if I want to upgrade have arrived

i already have a balcony so not sure I need anything else and the whole cruise was less than 1800 pounds including the drinks package and $50 off every port excursion

Unless there are tangible benefits such as dining or shore priority , the one you have may be fine (IMnsHO)

Will have to pick your brains when we catch up, Mrs FB and I have been thinking about trying one some time and a last minute deal sounds pretty good.

@VPS Would the price be double for you though as it's pp.
Yes although I got no SS on the trip anyway. I did put in a bid for 85 pound for the club balcony because it comes with free laundry so it will be 190 pounds if I get it but I'm suspecting that with that low a bid I won't get a look in and I wasn't prepared to pay much more. Still waiting for nearly $7K from my failed Norwegian trip from the insurance company
