We have two nights in HKG before flying to FCO.

Staying at Cordis (Langham Place) in a Residence connecting to Club place - with club benefits.

The Residence

We landed pretty much on time and the hotel car delivered us hassle free.

After the usual checkin paperwork it was up to the club for a nightcap - the club offers drinks until midnight.

Looks like a solid club lounge. As an overall proposition would you prefer to stay at the Langham or the Four Seasons?

Back at the Langham (will never call it Cordis ). And way better weather than we had in July.

Four Seasons is a clear winner. The two properties simply do not compare.

FS suite / room combo with lounge access will see you dropping >$2k a night +++ FWIW about twice what we're paying at the Langham.

Given it's winter (no pool usage) and we're day one into a 30+ night trip staying at some pretty flash Villas/hotels (stay tune) Langham fits the bill very well.

Langham is a solid property that delivers exceptional value for money. Mong Kok is also a nice change of scenery.

I think you saw my review of the Langham/Cordis a few months back. Sure, its nice, but I wouldn't go back - The Mira it stays for me.

As you say, first nights of a long trip - start slowly and build up! :)

Concierge recommendation last night - Dim Dim Sum, Mong Kok

Good quality at lightning speed. The four of us had our fill of dumplings and tea for ~ A$50
